Aja – Headshots

You guys, Aja is such a dear soul. I mean, just look at this girl; you can instantly tell she’s a ray of sunshine! She went off and moved to Florida on me awhile back and I was so thrilled when she came back to NC in June and we were able to shoot another wedding together. Just like old times. 🙂 While she was in town, we took advantage of the visit to grab some updated head shots! And let me tell you, sessions with Aja are never free of adventure….envision standing in the middle of the road to get that perfect shot and then getting strange comments from passing bikers. That’s one of our more mild stories. We’ve definitely had our share of……interesting……experiences doing shoots together, haha.

Love this girl so much and had a blast pulling together just a few of my favorites of her for you to enjoy….

Angelina – Senior Portraits

Angelina is a dear soul; musical, adventurous, deep thinker, lover of the Lord. She’s graduating from North Greenville University this weekend after pouring blood, sweat, and tears into her Christian Studies major and then she is getting ready to use her gifts in children’s ministry. I had such a great time getting to work with this sweet gal and hearing about the exciting ways the Lord is working in her life! Congratulations, Angelina!

Aria – Downtown Portrait Session

Meet Aria; a fabulous friend of mine with a beautiful spirit and a snazzy sense of style. 🙂

I recently had the chance to walk around downtown Hendersonville with Aria; climbing up crumbling walls, getting caught in the rain, exploring sketchy alleys, and finding new places to shoot.  It was such fun!  Loved spending time with this sweet girl and hearing about her plans and dreams for the future.  She’s a total natural in front of the camera and made my job so easy.  Enjoy of few of my favorites from our explorations:

Caroline + Kaitlyn Senior Session

When these gals asked me about doing a joint senior session, I couldn’t be more thrilled.  I’ve know Caroline for years and meeting Kaitlyn was like hanging out with an old friend.  I had a blast getting to explore with these two and hear all about their exciting plans for the future.  They were total troopers; when our original location fell through, they rolled with a last minute-change of plans and were even down to hop over creeks and traipse through fields in high-heels.  Not to mention their modeling skills were spot on…obviously.

Enjoy my favorites of these beautiful friends!

There’s no telling what I might ask you to do during a shoot….like recreate American Gothic by Grant Wood for example.  After laughing at my craziness, though, I think Caroline and Kaitlyn totally nailed it. 😉

The Honeycutt Family

The Honeycutts are just the best.  Not only were they total naturals in from of the camera, they were naturals at loving on each other.  As I was busy photographing one person I would turn around to find Timmy bear-hugging someone or Ronnie and Adrienne sneaking a kiss.  They were genuinely loving one another, not because the camera was pointed at them, but because that’s just how they roll.  It was a such a joy to capture this sweet family!  Enjoy my favorites from their session:

Owen – Senior Portraits

This session was such a fun one, filled with laughter and exploring in the woods.  Owen totally nailed every pose and rolled with any crazy idea I threw out there. 🙂  I’ve known Owen and his family for about 8 years now and it was so awesome to be able to help document this exciting milestone!  He just got back from a missions trip to Nicaragua and I loved hearing about all of the things he experienced there. Owen’s love for the Lord is so evident in his life.  I hope you are able to catch a glimpse of his gentle and kind spirit through these images.

Congratulations on your graduation, Owen!

Aja – Portraits

Last winter at a basketball game I met a delightful, enthusiastic woman.  When I told her about my photography, she immediately responded with, “My granddaughter is a photographer!  You have to meet my granddaughter!” and proceeded to introduce Aja.  Since that fateful day Aja and I have had many long conversations about photography + business, and I have had the privilege of second shooting multiple weddings with her.  She is absolutely the sweetest person and I had the best time grabbing these shots with her; so much fun and laughter.  🙂

Enjoy my favorites!
